UN CAFE CON EL MAESTRO

This place should have gotten a “C”, which is average, but customer service really does kill. The place is clean, and the coffee was good. The eats tasted like something you get at Costco, nothing special. The tables and chairs are much shorter than normal, I am not particularly tall but when I was seated, my legs had to bend and I felt cramped. There is a table topper that slides around anytime you touch or remove things on the table, super annoying. I spoke to the owner who explained that the person who took my order is not good at customer service and that he had already received other complaints about her as well. He also shared with me that they give their profits to a non-profit christian organization.
It won’t take much to move up to a “C”. Better customer service, and change the tables and chairs, they are not wheelchair accessible, so anyone in a wheelchair cannot fit at the table. Just those two things will earn them a “C”. In fact, they have all the right ingredients to get a “B”, they just need to focus less on coffee shops looks and more on service, accessibility and their pastry offerings.
Despite the “D” rating, we do recommend this coffee shop, as they do have the makings of a great shop. Below is a picture of a man who is 5”-8” and you can see the table/chairs height. Adding products to the pastry case would make them seem bleak. Despite my own views, I have to admit that while I was here, I observed 4 other patron-groups come in and they seem to be enjoying themselves. Though, none of them were served by the person that took my order.
